Job Responsibilities:

Charting patient information into patient management software (Dentrix)
Bringing patients from the waiting room to treatment rooms, dismissing patients after treatment is completed.
Providing patients with consent forms, explaining procedures to patients.
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and efficiency.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before and after procedures.
Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
Take and process CBCT as needed.
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Assist in taking patient medical histories and updating records.
Support the hygienist as needed with patient care and room turnover.
Stocking supplies
Assisting in checking inventory and ordering instruments, equipment, supplies.
Cleaning and maintaining treatment rooms, waiting room, sterilization area, lab room, storage, break room, waiting room, and office bathroom.
Collection and preparation for disposal of medical waste.
Disposing of garbage into the assigned dumpster.
Schedule patient appointments, verify insurance, take payments, and handle patient inquiries when assisting at the front desk.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a smooth office workflow.
Training new assistants on clinical processes and use of various equipment, instruments, and supplies.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a dental assistant.
Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-friendly approach.
Ability to multi-task and assist at the front desk as needed.
Familiarity with Dentrix dental software and scheduling systems is a plus.
Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and a team player.

Working Conditions:

Part-time position with standard business hours, Monday to Friday and Saturday as needed.
Occasional evenings or weekends may be required based on office needs.
Dental assisting, with occasional flexibility for front desk assistance.

Benefits:

Competitive salary based on experience.
7 days a year paid time off, accrual is 1 hour paid leave for every 40 hours worked starting after the 90-day probation period.
