The school has added two new programs to train in the careers of Medical Office Administrative Assistant and Medical Billing and Coding Specialist.

Chicago, IL (March 24, 2022). Illinois Health Careers is proud to announce that enrollment is now open for two new Allied Health career training programs. The two programs will equip students to become Medical Office Administrative Assistants or Medical Billing and Coding Specialists. Admissions are granted on an open enrollment basis every 10-12 weeks and new programs commence each spring, summer, fall, and winter.

A wide variety of students are invited to apply, including:

  • High school students who will be at least 18 years old at the time of program completion
  • Former stay-at-home parents looking to re-enter the workforce
  • Workers in other industries looking to start a new, higher-paying career
  • Current healthcare workers looking to advance from their current role

“We offer short-term courses for long-term goals at the most affordable tuition in the area,” said Director of Allied Health, Colinda Kram. “Our classes are truly hands-on and utilize state-of-the-art clinical technology. We’re dedicated to providing future medical professionals with the education to become highly trained, knowledgeable, and work-ready.”

Classes are offered on multiple campuses throughout the Chicagoland area and suburbs. Current locations include the main campus in Harwood Heights and satellite facilities in Homewood, Mundelein, and Rockford. Students can opt to attend classes in the evening twice per week or on Saturdays. This flexibility allows students to accommodate a variety of work and school schedules. Course material is also available via an online platform, so students can complete quizzes and assignments at any time.

In addition to the new programs, Illinois Health Careers already offers well-established programs that train students to become Dental Assistants and Orthodontic Technicians.  Also coming soon is Clinical Medical Assistants. There are also specialized programs in Combined Dental/Orthodontic Assistant and Coronal Polishing and Dental Sealant Placement.

“When it comes to dental assisting and orthodontic assisting, Illinois Health Careers falls among the top schools,” said former student Monica Castello. “They trained me, helped me get a job, and developed my career forward!”

Most courses last 9 to 12 weeks and some include a hands-on internship experience. All programs are approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education. Tuition rates are available online. Students can choose to prepay for courses before they begin or utilize a payment plan. They also have the option to apply for financial aid, including third-party scholarships.

Upon completion of their chosen program, students receive a certificate in their field of specialization. Those who receive a grade of 85% or above also receive a letter of recommendation.

Dr. Yaroslav Yarmoluk, aka Dr. Y, founded Illinois Health Careers in 2015. After years of growing his award-winning orthodontic practice in the Chicagoland area, he needed to hire more assistants to staff his offices. He saw an opportunity to provide exceptional training to expand his practice while helping new workers enter this growing field. Dr. Y has appeared on WGN, WIFR, Polvision, and other local media outlets. He also works pro bono in the community, providing free braces and organizing charity events for residents in need.
